Ruidus
Overview
The smaller, dark red moon of Exandria. Considered an ill omen by most cultures across Exandrian history. Present in the sky since before recorded history — unlike Catha, the other moon, Ruidus does not follow predictable lunar cycles, appearing randomly and erratically.
Pre-Exodus canon (Campaign Three): Ruidus was a prison — a moon-sized cage constructed by the Primordials to contain a fragment of Predathos, the Primordial entity that consumed gods. The Ruby Vanguard’s plan under Ludinus Da’leth involved traveling to Ruidus to free Predathos and use it to destroy the gods. This partially succeeded — Predathos was freed — but the actual goal failed, and Predathos was not re-sealed; it departed on its own once the gods went mortal and became invisible to it. The moon sustained significant structural damage during the events of Campaign Three regardless, from the ritual itself.
