The Undead Patron

Warlock Subclass — Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft, adapted for Heretics of the Old Gods

Overview

The Shadowfell has been accumulating powerful dead for a thousand years without governance. The entities that have built power bases in there are now potential patrons for anyone with the specific recklessness to reach into that plane and make an arrangement. The pact transforms the warlock toward undeath over time. This is the advertised cost.
