Wheel

Background — Homebrew for Heretics of the Old Gods

You drive. That’s the whole of it. Crawlers, sand-skiffs, caravan rigs, raider vehicles — if it moves across the ground and someone needs it pushed past what it should survive, that’s you. You learned the roads the hard way, which is the only way there is out here. You know which passes flood in Fessuran, which routes the gangs watch and which ones they’ve forgotten about, and exactly how much you can ask of a machine before it stops asking anything back.

Whether you ran caravans, drove for a gang, competed in sanctioned races, or just survived long enough doing courier work that people started calling you reliable, the result is the same: you are the person who gets things — and people — from one place to another when the alternative is not arriving at all.

Feature: Known Roads

You have an instinctive grasp of routes, terrain, and the informal economy of passage through dangerous stretches. When traveling overland, you can identify the fastest route between two points, locate roads and paths that avoid official checkpoints or gang-controlled corridors, and know who controls passage through a given stretch of wilderness or badlands. You also know the unwritten rules of the road — who has right of way, which flags or markings signal neutrality or threat, and what it costs to buy safe passage from the people who sell it.
